During the summer of 2017 of my sophomore year I interned for Nemo Design, an agency in Portland that loves brands with a culture. I was fortunate to touch almost every client project and learn about the inner-workings of an agency. I worked heavily with teams on Tepui, 5.11+, and designed the Mid-Year Meeting. I made a zine that captured the wild summer experience.
I jumped off a bridge, got shot in the booty, ate cheese ramen, modeled my foot for Nike, learned how to wake surf on my last choice of water to touch, the Willamette and came out of it a changed man.
Over the course of the internship I worked on a team with Natalie Waldref and Ryan Davis to explore logo directions for the Tepui rebrand and created illustrations to enhance the text and stories of the people featured in the 5.11+ Fall catalog under the direction of Eugene Good.
Focusing on the history and traditions of Nemo, I designed the theme and materials for the paintball mid-year meeting social event. Below is a zine that I made to capture the summer.
